Kebab Turns Out to Be New Mammal Species

This story made me laugh.
An odd-looking rodent, spotted in a Laotian food market where it was going to be turned into a kebab, has turned out to be not only a new species but also part of a new family of mammals — the first to be identified in more than three decades.
